My name is Hannah and I’m a student at the University of North Dakota. I have lived in North Dakota all 19 years of my life and it’s definitely time for something new and exciting. Having never even been out of the country, I will be taking a huge leap across the Atlantic Ocean to the lovely (from what I hear) European country of Norway. I am studying at the BI Norwegian Business school in Oslo for this coming fall semester. As you’ve probably realized, I am a business major, double majoring in Economics and Managerial Finance with a minor in International Business.
I have always been interested in learning about different cultures and parts of our world. Being from North Dakota, I’d say it’s like living in a bubble with not much diversity. I had the opportunity to take a trip to New York City with my aunt & uncle when I was 14. That experience itself should be a whole blog post, but being in New York City truly opened my eyes to the world. I fell in love with the city and the fact that it had so much diversity.

Hi Hannah! I’m a doctoral student at UND, doing research on bloggers and higher education. I would love to talk to you more if you are interested; I can email you more information if you’ll share your email or you can email me at laura.parson(at)my.und.edu.
I’m actually thinking about doing a study abroad! In Norway actually. But I’m thinking about going to learn the language. Any tips???
It’s hard to learn it there since many native speakers want to improve their english, but I would definitely so do it!
Hi there,
I hope this blog still is alive. Well, could you please tell me why did you choose Norway and BI school, not any different place, not any different school? I’m thinking about applying but I don’t know what I should say in my motivation. You know, I am stuck =”=
Thanks for reading this message.
I chose BI for the sole reason that my major at the time was business and my university offered direct exchanged so I just paid my tuition to my home school. I never had any intention to study in Norway until my advisor brought it up to me. I had wanted to go to France since I had studied French, but they didn’t have a good business school connected with my university.
